DOO-WOPS

I love to hear my doo-wops.
I listen all the time.
No other songs compare to them,
their rhythm and their rhyme.

Well, you say I’m old fashioned,
completely out of date.
That may be so but still I say
to me those sounds are great.

And I can still remember
the words to every one,
and I still sing along to them.
I couldn’t have more fun.

I’ll ask you this, my young friend:
these songs they play today,
do you think you’ll remember them
when you are old and gray?
