A poem about change in modern society. |
She was riding on the train looking out the window. It was winter and the train was slow. Where she knew which way she was going, she would rest. When she woke up, she would feel her best. A change was coming around the corner this she knew From inside her heart, she didn't know what to do. She knew the answer would lie within, she had to look in her heart to win, She went to sleep listening to the sound of the train. Where a new adventure waited for her once again In the morning when she woke up, she looked out, and saw it was light. For she had slept right through the night She got herself ready for the new day ahead, as she washed her face and brushed her hair A change she knew was just around the bend. Through the night her heart would mend, and she'd leave it all behind Where she was hoping to find... The answers to the piece of the puzzle that was. shattered Where nothing else to her mattered as she felt the tears fall For she was going to put up a wall A change she knew would do her good The way she knew that it only could. She couldn't put her life on hold any longer. Where now she felt a lot stronger Where she had to be brave and bold For this new adventure was about to unfold. She would have a change that made sense, only to her Where her future would become more secure She would know the power of prayer, All around her she knew God would be there |
