My ledge

Up and down
Happy then not
Losing another piece each time
Falling further into despair
The ups fade quickly
The downs stretch out
Never knowing what emotion is next
From minute to minute
The change so quick
It's tearing me up
Desperate to get out
The pills don't hold it back
That screaming in my head
Is too loud to block
Shouting so much negativity
Telling me I can't do this
What am I holding on to?
This crumbling ledge?
Unsure of how to fix it
Fix everything that's broken
Inside and out
Friend or foe
It's hard to see behind these tears
The bad takes over the good
The ledge is about to fall
Do I stay on?
