New beginnings from death.
Whispers at a Funeral

Watching tear-streaked faces
Pain weaving melancholy dances
We sat together whispering softly
A mention of the dead, a memory
Two strangers who had met in the past
Our whispering igniting a spark
You asked me to go on holiday, I said "ok"
You wanted to kidnap me, I said "ok"
You were assertive, I liked that
I was shy, not an eye I did bat
You whispered that I was "hot"
The sermon we both had forgot
I leaned forward to try and focus
You did too, working your hocus pocus
For the departed we said farewell
Our parting imminent, did you impel
To ask my brother, you to kidnap me
He said that we would fit perfectly
A funeral the universe conspired
To deliver what we both desired!
