Poem on Faith and reflection of waiting on The Lord |
What Do I Say To You Oh how I hurt Lord, Standing alongside this Abyss. Longing to be found in your Countenance as I reminisce...... What to say to you Lord when my Spirit is overwhelmed within me? What do I say to you when I just can't form the words of my plea? What do I say to you when I am in the darkness and feel so alone? You promised to never leave me, do you hear my cries, do you hear me through my groans? Here I am Lord, on my knees seeking your face, Here I am Lord waiting on your loving embrace. I stand now, waiting on you in the midst of this great storm. Speak to the winds and rain, bring forth your calm. Do you see me on my knees? Crying out to you, come and dine with me please For I hunger and I thirst to be filled, Standing on a firm foundation so you can build. Come Lord Jesus and have your way, For you Lord Jesus are my hope and stay. See me through my trials and this tribulation, Bring me your victory, your joys, so I feel the elation. Jesus you remain faithful when I fail to be, Come and have your way Lord Jesus, finish your work in me! I wait on you Lord, knowing you are always good, Having done my best to stand, these trials I have withstood. I ran my race through the years, through the ups and downs, Now I kneel before you My King, throwing you my Crown! (Think I am ending the Poem here at my Crown Might continue with the below....and end it at "always be"?) The joy unending as I am before you in your glory, Wearing this garment of white, thank you Father for guiding my story. Thank you for loving me, taking my place on the Cross for me, For reigning here in glory with you is where I will always be. Christopher Day March 7th 2024 |
