A Poem about needing the right vacation to ease the vacation stresses. |
The Last Train Ticket Travel has always been such a hassle for me Having to search for what to bring and what to see; Everything is a rush to end up someplace I would rather not be. Looking forward to getting away from it all for peace and quiet Always ending up next to the loudest room on the floor; Spending time in the bathroom getting used to the new diet. Tagging with the wife to see the views is my worst bore, Torture begins when clothes are picked with the command, "Try it." Riding for hours to find the attraction is closed is sure to cause trouble, Annoyance turns to anger and distress, and then there is blame. In the heat of the moment, it's best to pretend you're each in a bubble; No words of anger or distress, create something fun, like a game. To take stress out of the equation and bring fun back in, It wouldn't be that difficult to plan something different and new. Change of habit brings excitement and hits boredom on the chin. Keeping adventure in mind, think of the mighty choo-choo. Embrace your wild and daring side and set your sights toward The Last Train Ticket for your well-deserved reward. 18 Lines Prompt: The Last Train Ticket |
