I know God loves me and you too
He is real and true blue
I struggle to love you and know you true
Love you and know you in a most intimate way
My little bit of love I have for you is true

I have lived through the Reagan years
I have live to see the first black President
I have lived through the Trump era, hopefully never again
I have lost family along the way
I have lost friends along the way

Have had love and lost love all along the way
Never really been in a deep committed love

I have made it to another year I have my sweet
May my last days on earth be sweeter than they have ever been
May I find peace and be able to hold it near like a best friend
May I know you Lord the Christ in ways like I have never known
May I find comfort in Christ's arm's for the rest of my days
When it's time may he gently lead me quickly and quietly home
