Thank you. Thank you. |
Dear The StoryMaster and The StoryMistress I'm expected to express this in forty lines or less? A hundred lines wouldn't be enough To cover 'why I love WDC' and all the other stuff! I joined on April 23, 2007 Four months after Mom went to Heaven. I'd written a poem which I couldn't show To family or friends - they'd misunderstand, you know So I searched for a 'free poetry' site And after looking at a few, this one seemed right I posted my poem and got reviews Within an hour! WDC's a great home to choose! Then I met fellow writers from India Thanks to 'Project Write World' hosted by Kiya! Writing solo, or writing as a team WDC's tools work like a dream! I wrote, I reviewed, I entered many a contest But do you know what I love best? That this site isn't only about writing It's got a community spirit that is always shining. We have friends here we haven't met personally Some of them have become family. We help each other through thick and thin When one needs something, all pitch in. I love the activities, the groups I've joined I love the innovations SM and SMs have coined. I love the mania for collecting trinkets I love the respect shown for people like vets. We meet people with backgrounds diverse And learn of their lives in prose or verse. We share our thoughts, our point of view We refresh our knowledge and gain insights anew. You know I said forty lines wasn't enough? Well actually it isn't that tough. What do I love about WDC? EVERYTHING - just one word, you see! |
