a poem i wrote for my daughter when she was being bullied in 5th grade
My child my daughter please open your eyes. Can't you see that your beauty goes beyond your size.
To me you are perfect, ignore all the rest, when they laugh at your flaws or the way that you're dressed.
Our flaws separate us, we each have our own. Every stitch in your body has been perfectly sewn.
Let my eyes be your mirror and then you could see the stunning young lady who stands before me.
I hear you cry at night. I feel your pain and more. When your heart is aching I can feel it in my core.
When your heart is aching I can see the clouds go by. If only God would let me I would gladly clear your sky.
I would lie down in your bed and take away the pain. Id move the sun above your head and dry up all the rain.
