In the year of 62
I was there
when the “big one” blew.
It crashed into my world
An angry force,
Raging, Roaring
water and wind
twisting and breaking
scraping and shaking
busting and snapping
Stopping
Durning the eye of it
calmness silenced calamity
horses barned
a warm living room
Then it was back
Loud, Ferocious
And coming from a different direction
Shaking and breaking
Raging and roaring
water and wind
When it was gone
the damage was long
bird species, puffin flock
displaced in the wind
needed a place to recoup
chain saw sounds
blasted the truth
I would be with my family again.
