Thank you for reading this poem! I was inspired by a game I play. Honest feedback please!
The Sun sets on the beautiful lands

But these lands once were filled with blood and yells of war

Lots remember the violent battle that once happened

However

A warrior once with a burning flame

Filled with strength

Glory

Is now simply a ember in the painful dark

People would speak of the battle with amazement

He speaks of it

As hell

Screams that were once

Laughs with family

Talks with friends

Now silent to rest away in the ground peacefully

He sits there

Rusted sword in his scarred hand as he sits

Remembering the bloodshed that once took place

With his other hand

Puts it on his chest and lays on the grass

With one last breath says to the heavenly sky

“I’m coming home”

Suddenly the ember is put out

To rest away in the blowing wind
