a sweet old lady I met at a dinner party |
I met her at a neighborhood dinner party {which just happened to be hosted by my neighbor} At first I noticed her smilinâ everywhere she turned her head But when sheâd lock eyes with someone!! Oooohh her face and eyes would light up like fireworks!! A short while later she comes over And says âhi I see you walking a lotâ I said âyah I walk a fair amountâ She says somethinâ like âits good your able to do all thatâ I said âyah I do what I have the strength forâ Then she says with a handshake âwell Iâm Rose, I just wanted to say hi!â I said âwell hi Rose, Iâm Wilderâ. I canât remember what all was said after that Except she soon turned away smilinâ And went back to her seat I met her eyes a couple times after that And her face would light up every time Her face lit up anytime she locked eyes With someone for more than about a second I think I already said that but whatever ![]() Those who truly constantly smile in their hearts have a smile on their face that never completely fades! When I was a little boy at Montessori School for Children, my Native American name was âSmiling Snowy Boyâ, because according to a lot of folks there, I was always smiling: and it was snowing when I was born. ![]() Namaste - Wilder the Quiet 10/15/24 10/17/24 |
