A beautiful world sees the economy as vital and the importance of the middle class- a poem |
Cordially endeavor to promote generations Of hardworking individuals, Their beautifully cornered, conceived, And joyous families, And their awesome standard of life. The obligatory taxation Of the highest income earners Is a non-neutral, stigmatizing Drop in the bucket To an economy Whose largest expenses Are national defense, Roads and bridges, Affordable health care, And entitlements such as social security, Medicare, and food stamps; Their 38 percent tax rate cannot cover These trillions in budget spending And those miscellaneous, incredible, Needed expenditures Of those well-thought-out, brilliant groups And industrious minds; If a billionaire’s net worth Or annual income is two or three billion, 38 percent of that is Roughly six to nine hundred million, And if there are 400 of those billionaires, That’s around 3 or 4 trillion dollars - Not enough to finance the economic frivolity Or vital spending costs Of the mainstays in the excellent budget, Let alone the countless other items In this unified and glorious agenda… Let love encircle the populace Of this extraordinarily frustrated nation, With an economy that leaves One’s wages in their checking And savings accounts, To focus our marginal gains Toward a brighter tomorrow; A view to the unlucky and less fortunate Remains surely on the horizon; Their well-being relies on the godly sanctuary Which is the middle class - And their prosperity is completely and gratefully Reliant on their wealth And exceptional verve, values, And living code; For there is no inherent substitute For middle America’s pocketbook And prodigious worth, And the impoverished and struggling people Of this salient and holy nation Must depend on the spending decisions And strength in forecasting Of this vibrant and consensual category Of men, women, and children In this glorious land… Peace and tranquility shall be furthered By the government’s legal and ethical Lack of thankless grab Of the extremely wealthy’s Ideation and original creations’ profits earned, Based on their ethos-seeking ventures’ Money’s gained and realized, And that inherent risk aversion In all its logistical aftermath… |
