My letter to myself for 2025 |
Dear Me, Welcome to 2025! Take a deep breath because this year is yours to shape, one goal at a time. Before you dive in, remember that every step forwardâno matter how smallâis still progress. So, letâs talk about where youâre headed and how youâre going to get there. First and foremost, writing remains at the heart of who you are. This year, you will complete three major projects: Shadowed Clues: Book Three â Youâve built a thrilling detective series, and itâs time to push forward. By June 30th, you will have the manuscript finished, polished, and ready for editing. The Sailboat Mystery Series: Book Two â You set sail on this new series in 2024, and itâs time to navigate deeper waters. The first draft should be complete by September 1st, and final edits by November 30th. A Short Story Collection â Your creativity thrives in shorter pieces, so by December 31st, you will compile 10 short mystery stories into a collection ready for publishing. Beyond writing, you will take strides toward making WriterRick a thriving platform. This means: Publishing at least one newsletter per month on Medium to engage your audience. Growing your readership to at least 1,000 subscribers by yearâs end. Offering three new writing services to attract clients and sustain your creative business. Now, letâs talk about health and well-being. Writing success means nothing if youâre running on fumes, so you will: Walk 5,000 steps daily to keep your energy up and your mind fresh. Stick to a balanced diet that supports focus and productivity. Dedicate one full day a week to unplugging and rechargingâno screens, just life. Lastly, personal growth. You will: Read 20 books that challenge your thinking and inspire new ideas. Learn a new skillâwhether it's improving your website design, marketing strategies, or even something completely unexpected. Take one solo trip to a place that excites your imagination and feeds your creativity. There will be challenges. Some days, youâll stare at a blank page longer than youâd like. But youâve done this before, and youâll do it again. When doubt creeps in, come back to this letter and remember: You are a writer. You are building something incredible. Keep going. By this time next year, youâll look back at 2025 with pride, knowing that you didnât just dreamâyou did. Stay focused, stay fearless, and most importantly, keep writing. With determination, Me |
