You are not alone. Written in a dark time, read to give light. |
Loneliness is a clock. Some people can simply look at their phones or across the room and their clocks are reset. Some people have a clock that hasn't reset in a while. They deal with the ticking. Every second of the day their clock's ticking has become a part of their very nature. They try drowning the incessant ticking by surrounding themselves with others, putting on a song or a show or going for a walk. Some people have found quiet in substances, their way of forgetting the never-ending noise, but when you least expect it, the clock can show itself again. Sometimes you find the noise is the only thing you truly know or understand, and the reliance on it is the scariest part as it's the only way to remember without it. The past never happened, but to revisit the past is to fuel the clock and make it louder than ever. The noise of it resonating through every fibre of your being to the pit of your stomach, leaving nothing but the desperation for it to end. But never forget that for some people the clock is too much, and stopping the clock is the only way to get, Peace. |
