100 word Drabble

All eyes are glued to the flickering screen. The cowboy in the black hat grabs his chest, falls from his horse, one leg catches in a stirrup, and a deafening roar fills the movie theatre as he’s dragged along the dusty prairie.
Two little boys, friends, Sammy and Jake, leave the cinema each taking turns to be the bad guy, the one with the black hat.

It was years later when Sam looked across the court room at his friend in the dock, he realised, Jake had never really been playing—he was always the one wearing the black hat.
