What time is it? Hero Time! |
| [Introduction]
For anyone who loves Adventure Time, have I got the story for you: Hero Time! Jake Winstrom, your average 12-year-old boy, ends up on an island with no memory of how he got there. With the help of some new friends: a stocky 17-year-old bear named Bruce (who declares himself a ladies' man), a 6-year-old bat named Katy (who looks up to Jake as a brother), an Abraham van Helsing-like rabbit named Gina, Princess Juliana, daughter of King Lionmane (who is a lion, despite her being a human), her two younger brothers: the constantly hungry Flufftail and the adventurous Stripetail, a cat-like creature called a Mayhem (which Jake names Speckles), and a 3,000-year-old vampire named Sabrina (who grew up in the jungle), Jake must learn to adapt to the island's surroundings and serve as part of the island's Sheriff's Department (consisting of him, Gina, Katy, and Bruce with Speckles as the mascot) if he is to get home. For anyone who wishes to join this campfire, please let me know. If you create your own character, you can base them off of yourself if you want. |
Adventure 1: Welcome to Adventure Island Jake Winstrom was just your average 12-year-old boy. He didn't know how he ended up on Adventure Island, but here he was, on the beach. He laid there until he regained consciousness. He had been dragged across the sand by a strange figure. His savior stopped and Jake saw who had saved him: a bear who looked about 17. He wore an open vest, showing he was kind of stocky, a pair of black denim jeans, and laced-up boots. His chin was covered in hair and his abdomen was, too. He had his hair slicked. "Hello," he said. "You took quite a fall on that beach." "Gee, thanks," Jake said. "Where am I anyway?" |
| Jake tried to think of an answer, but he honestly couldn't remember where he came from! "I...don't really know. I can't seem to remember anything except my name!" |
| "That's okay," the bear replied. "My name's Bruce." "Uh, I'm Jake," Jake said. Bruce helped Jake to his feet and walked him down the beach. "You know, it's very difficult to understand," he said. "You've just washed ashore on Adventure Island." "Adventure Island?" Jake asked. "It's a big island," Bruce said. "There are various cities, towns, and villages everywhere. One carved out of steep and rocky mountains, one surrounded by forests, one multi-tiered with elevators, one consisting of treehouses connected by rope bridges in the treetop, and the list goes on." "Wow," Jake said. "These cities, towns, and villages on this island are very unique in their own way!" "I can show you around," Bruce said. "Let's go to my van. Mi casa es su casa!" |
| Bruce escorted Jake into his van and closed the door. The inside looked like an RV rather than van. It had a bathroom, a kitchen, a living and dining area, an entertainment system, and a bunk bed. "Amazing!" Jake cried. "I made a few adjustments inside," Bruce said. "There's always room for one more!" He headed for the driver's seat and got ready to buckle up when there was a knock at the door. "That's funny," he said. "I don't remember ordering any pizza." "I'll get it," Jake said. He got up and went to answer to door. At first, he couldn't see who was at the door until he looked down. There was a rabbit wearing a long black coat over a white crop top, earrings adorning her right ear, her left ear was covered by a black hat, she wore a palm glove on one hand and a a fingerless glove on the other, her pants had many belts decorating it, and she wore black boots. She looked rather angry. "Excuse me," She asked. "Are you the owner of this van?" "That would be me," Bruce said after getting up. "You know I didn't order any pizza." "I came for the van," the rabbit replied. "It's my van. You stole it from me!" Jake gasped. "How could you?!?" He cried. Bruce said nothing. He pushed the rabbit out and closed the door. "You're getting away from me!" The rabbit said, climbing onto the roof. Bruce buckled up in the driver's seat and started the van, slamming on the gas. "That Gina," he said. "She thinks this is her van." As he drove the van through the island, Gina held onto the roof, determined to get inside. She began to hear something. Looking up, she noticed that another vehicle was coming. Thinking quick, she burst through the window and kicked Bruce, causing him to steer the van out of the way. Unfortunately, it landed on its side in the square of a village. Jake climbed out of a window and Bruce followed suit. "Are you all right?" Jake asked, running up to Gina. He stopped in front of her hat which was lying on the ground. "Give me that," she demanded. That was when Jake noticed Gina had a chunk missing from her left ear! |
