A post-apocalyptic world. A strange condition concerning Zombies, Gods, and some romance!

(Doctor's Monologue)

The air smells fresh today. At least as fresh as it could smell after the collapse. I can hear commotion in the hall. Damon’s voice and … Ah Terra’s voice, I always mix hers up with Fianna’s. Those girls have such deep voices. Unlike Haylee, who’s voice is like cotton candy. Sickingly sweet at times. The women here really do vary…

“Doctor…”

A meek voice calls out behind me. I turn to see young Felix behind me.

“Ah Felix, did your mother send you here for something? An errand? A check-up?” I lean down, smiling.

I hope my smile doesn’t seem to be too forced. The children around here are hard to deal with.

“No…” He responds.

“Oh? Then what is it?”

“... Damon is causing a commotion again …”

“I thought so, he’s quite a lively guy. What seems to be the issue this time?”

He just stared at me for a moment before speaking in a monotone. His way of being annoyed.

“He’s calling Terra those bad words again, the T one and the F one …”

I tried to maintain my friendly smile without faltering. I had told Damon the next time he went off saying slurs I’d tie him up outside all night without a gun or a coat. I guess he didn’t take me seriously.

“Well we can’t have that now can we? Lead me to them.”

Felix grabs hold of my coat and harshly pulls me after him. This reminds me of those little kids pulling their parents off somewhere to show them something. As we turn the corner Felix stops dead in his tracks and lets go of my coat.

“Hm? What is it?” I ask softly.

The boy just stands there for a moment. Is he spacing out again?

“It’s stopped … they’ve stopped yelling.”

Just that moment a young girl with long black hair in braids quickly turned the corner and ran into me.

“Hey-!” She exclaims, before looking up and recognizing it's me.

“Fianna! What’s wrong?”

“D-doctor! There’s someone here! An outsider!”

Felix’s eyes widened at what she said, and he instantly bolted off.

“Felix-! The energy in that boy..” I sighed, hitting the exasperated mom pose.

“Doctor! This is serious. We don’t know this guy, we have to deal with him now!” Fianna said in an aggravated tone.

She was quick to anger. I always loved poking fun at that part of her.

“Alright, alright! Lead on.”

I followed Fianna to the front. We pushed through the crowd of others in the base.

“S'cuse me all! Let me get a look at this so-called ‘outsider’.” I exclaimed in a semi-serious tone.

I was never super serious. With everything going on someone has to keep the mood alive. At the doors of The Base, just outside to be exact, stood a boy. Well, more like a young adult. He’s sort of pale, with short brown hair. His hair is almost curly, but still straight. Ah, it’s wavy! That’s the word. Gosh my vocabulary has deteriorated. Jun would be disappointed.

“Well well, what do we have here?”
