Making a living isn't easy, especially with clients like this to service...
This was actually the very first Apsiu erotica story I ever wrote. Hence its relative tameness compared to the others. Kusef first appeared in my novel, Horus, and he was just as cocky and reprehensible there.

He started nuzzling roughly at her neck, and one clawed hand seized her breast, squeezing hard. She bit back the pain and forced a smile, taking his hand and attempting to steer him toward the back rooms.

"We can get a little privacy back here--"

They made it only as far as the doorway to the next room before he bumped into her--whether on purpose or on accident, she wasn't sure--and she fell sprawled in the doorway. Before she could get up she felt his weight upon her, the hot gust of his breath on her face, the mix of beer and Apsiu musk making her dizzy. She struggled a little, trying to sit up, to catch her breath.

The Kana simply pinned her down with one hand, leering lasciviously, his other hand yanking up her dress. "We could stay right here and be done with it," he slurred, his tusks gleaming with spittle. His hand found her thighs and pulled them apart abruptly.

She found herself wondering if this had been such a good idea. "Don't you want to sample all the wares?" she asked as coyly as she could, pulling down the top of her dress so her nipples peeked out, trying to stall for time.

The Kana gave a loud snort. "To the Duat with that. But I will enjoy these, since you asked." He briefly turned his attention away from entering her, and instead dropped his head and sucked noisily at her breasts. The tavern erupted in laughter. The other two Apsiu, still seated near the tavernkeeper, wrinkled their noses with disgust and looked uncomfortable, but kept to themselves. Renet's companions looked a bit uncomfortable themselves, though more curious.

Renet wished he would have taken her into a back room, so they could at least have some privacy, though she supposed it was too late now. Everyone was watching. It didn't matter that much, though; most of them were drunk, and nudging Kusef on. A few hooted and whistled as he finished amusing himself with her breasts, lifting his head to look at her, a long line of saliva trailing down to her left nipple.

She smiled at him as best she could, though her skin crawled.

The Apsiu's face broke into a drunken sneer. His chest hitched with a wheezed laugh. "Pitiful human Moru. Do you not find what you need among your own kind? Of course not. Leave it to a true Kana to give you what you desire most."

The Kana at the bar grimaced and turned their noses. Someone gave an encouraging hoot.

Renet just kept the smile on her face and touched his chest. "I'm certain...a Kana elite like yourself could, Master," she cooed, fighting back her own disgust and choosing her words carefully.

"Master!" Kusef bellowed with laughter. He glanced over his shoulder at his two companions. "Hear you that? The puny human calls me 'Master' as if she were my Moru! Well, human, I'll do my best to serve you right--if you somehow manage to serve me right, that is."

One of Renet's friends came over from the bar and knelt to touch Kusef's shoulder, smiling coyly. She'd evidently seen the potential value in servicing a wealthy Kana. Renet just hoped she didn't steal her business.

"Lord, if my friend Renet is not enough to please you, then how should you like for me to serve you also?"

The Kana bellowed with laughter again, his wings flapping. "Look at this! They all line up to serve the mighty Kusef now! First I shall enjoy the Lady Renet, and then I shall mate with you, and then perhaps with your little friend if she's willing!"

The third woman cringed and tried to make herself look small and insignificant.

More laughter from the tavern patrons. Renet smiled, then bit her lip when Kusef took her hip and turned her onto her belly. Of course he would want to do it like this. He pulled up her dress and bared her buttocks, pinching at them playfully. Howls and hoots filled the room. Renet gritted her teeth but went along.

"Look at this pale, scrawny human!" Kusef shouted. "There's hardly any meat on her bones. I can barely stand to look at her face. I'll have to enjoy her as I would a Moru."

Renet tried to look over her shoulder while keeping her body still. Kusef lifted his kilt--she caught a glimpse of him, his large member standing out full and erect--and spread her open with his hands. Renet bit her lip again when the Kana mounted her, pushing himself in to the hilt. A loud, guttural grunt exploded from his throat.

The patrons howled and banged on the tables, cheering him to go faster. Kusef pulled himself out as he let out his breath, then thrust in again, claws scoring Renet's hips. A moment later she lay still on the floor, patiently submitting, as the Kana bounced atop her, wings flapping, grunting loudly with each thrust.

She braced herself with her arms in an attempt to keep her breath; the Kana was much bigger than she was, at least two or three times her weight; he was making no attempt to be gentle, instead intent on pleasuring himself with her, riding her almost violently. She supposed she was lucky he was drunk half out of his mind, or else perhaps he would have been rougher with her. If only he'd chosen to enter her from the front, maybe she could enjoy this a little more; or if he'd at least taken her in one of the back rooms, so she didn't have to hear everybody laughing at them as they went at it. She was certain she'd have a reputation from now on--and not necessarily a good one.

She clenched her teeth; Kusef pounded into her, claws squeezing her buttocks, growling with lust. His wings kept up a continuous flapping. This was starting to hurt. Renet's friend, seeing the pained look on her face, again touched the Kana's arm; then sidled up to him as he thrust, hips bucking, and reached out to caress one wing. Renet heard him snort loudly; he gave an animal bellow and pinned her hips to the floor, falling still only long enough to release, his hot spurt flooding inside her. Renet let out her breath with a shudder. Thank the gods she'd been able to tolerate him, with his size; she was probably the first human to let an Apsiu couple with her.

As she started trying to push herself up on her elbows Kusef pulled out of her, unceremoniously leaving her lying in the doorway; taking Renet's friend's arm, he stalked away into the back rooms, half dragging her along with him when she didn't manage to keep up. Renet caught a glimpse of her friend's face as she went by; eyes wide and skin pale, she seemed almost ready to be sick, as if quickly beginning to regret her decision, but Renet gave her a reassuring look to show that it shouldn't be as bad as it seemed. Sitting up, she surreptitiously squeezed one of her breasts, indicating to her friend that she should let him have what he wanted. She earned a hurried nod for her advice, and stood up, straightening out her dress and pulling the top back up. She glanced over her shoulder to see Kusef and her friend on a pallet in the next room, the Apsiu already squeezing her roughly, tugging at her breasts with his mouth. Her friend looked nauseated but resigned. At least they weren't surrounded by cheering patrons, though a group of them had by now gathered at the doorway, humored and excited by the unusual prospect of seeing an Apsiu copulating with a human. Renet accepted a drink of beer and forced herself to swallow it down, hoping the taste would dim any memories of being with the disgusting brute.

"How could you do that?" her second friend whispered, mouth twisted with distaste. "Letting that filthy thing touch you--and then letting him in you--he's not even one of us--!"

"They think the same thing." Renet nodded at the two Kana seated nearby, both of them scowling into their drinks, wings hunched close to their backs. She knew they were Kusef's inferiors, and couldn't leave without his permission; as such they had to stay until their superior was finished with his business. From the looks in their eyes, they evidently found the situation as repellent as the women did.

Renet's friend made a move to speak, but Renet silenced her. One of the Kana had started grumbling to his companion, and even through all the noise they could hear him.

"Disgusting...consorting with a human Moru...they don't even have fur, much less wings...there must be something against coupling with them like that..."

"Hush up, Taipekh. If he wants to defile himself with such dirty creatures, he can. Let's not stop him. If anything perhaps it'll get him in trouble with the king. Gods know you would love that, wouldn't you?"

"Would you like me to rip your wings off and make you eat them, Moru?"

Renet looked once more toward the back room to see how her other friend was getting along. It was hard to see, with the crowd gathered watching and hooting; though between the milling patrons she managed to catch fleeting glimpses of her friend pressed down flat on her stomach, eyes squinched shut and hands clawing the pallet, the big Kana heaving himself at her, grunting and puffing, his wings flapping, thighs tightening and loosening under his bunched-up kilt as he thrust.

Renet turned away. Creative. He must enjoy all his Moru females that way, on their bellies. She vaguely wondered if the position made him feel more potent or powerful.

"Wh-what if he comes out here for me?" her second friend asked, her voice quavering. Renet looked at her and saw the fear in her eyes as she watched the goings-on in the back room. "He--he said he would, when he was done with her...I don't mind being with a man, if the pay is good enough...but--he's an Apsiu--I don't think I could handle him..."

"He's just the same as any other," Renet tried to reassure her. "Only a little bigger, and looking a bit different, is all."

"A little bigger?" her friend squeaked. "Look at him! I've never been with someone as big as him--what if he hurts me? Mayet doesn't seem to be enjoying him too much--and he was somewhat rough with you too--I don't think I can take that--!"

"He's only had a bit much to drink." Renet's voice grew hard. "The same as any other you'd find here. If you don't let yourself worry too much, he won't hurt you. Look, we've both handled him, haven't we? And I bet the pay will be very good, with him--serving the king, commander of the Apsiu army, and all..."

Her friend shook her head, biting her lip, tears welling up in her eyes. Renet stared at her a moment before sighing and touching her shoulder.

"Look, just don't insult him, and you should be all right. Perhaps you should try flattering him a bit; he seemed to like that when I did it. Perhaps he'll be a little easier with you? If that doesn't help, I don't believe he'll force himself on you; remember, he said if you were willing; I truly don't believe he'd want to cause too much trouble with all of us around. No matter how much these brutes like watching, I doubt they'd let him get away with that. In any case, perhaps he'll be too spent after he's done with Mayet...he barely took any rest at all after me..."

"But what...what if he does decide to come in...?"

Renet sighed again. "If it bothers you that much, and if he does come back in, then I'll take your place, all right?"

"But--but you've already been with him--!"

"This is our job. This is what we do. I could handle him again if I had to." She grimaced, hearing Kusef's whoop of pleasure as he came, and Mayet's answering cry, more out of relief that it was over than joy at the feeling, Renet supposed. The crowd cheered and banged their cups together. "Though I certainly don't think of him as the best I've ever been with."

"Renet, I--I mean--th-thank you, for doing this for me, if he comes over here--you've always looked out for me--"

"It's nothing this time. But remember, I can't always do such things for you. Not if you want to continue in this business. You'll have to start taking more of them on your own."

"I--I know. It's just, an Apsiu--I'd rather be with the lowest peasant than one of those--"

A commotion came from the doorway. The gathered crowd started backing away and dispersing as Kusef stomped out, sweeping them aside with one hand and tugging down his crumpled kilt with the other. "Out of my way, Moru scum! Do you have nothing better to do than watch a real Kana at work? What are you doing, taking lessons? I'll teach you all a lesson with the sharp end of my sword if you don't keep out of my way!"

Renet's friend whimpered and shrank back behind her as the Kana came nearer.

"He's...he's coming this way..." she whispered, hands bunched to her mouth.

Renet stood as the Apsiu approached, intending to head him off if he should select her friend as his next diversion; she seized his arm and pulled herself up to kiss him on the muzzle, the sudden motion catching him offguard; he opened his mouth, whether to speak or accommodate her she didn't know, but she didn't take the time to find out, instead thrusting her tongue in his mouth abruptly, reaching under his kilt to caress his testicles for good measure.

She noted the surprised look on his face. In his eyes, she could make out all the other people in the room, including her friend and the other two Kana, gaping at them in disbelief, their own mouths hanging open. Nobody even cheered this time.

Kusef grunted, then pushed her hand away from his sheath, which was starting to swell. He grasped her waist and pulled her off of him, breaking the kiss, setting her aside and straightening himself out again. He wiped his mouth as he looked down at her.

"Well," he rasped, his voice thick. "It seems the skinny little Moru female wishes to taste more of what the mighty Kusef has to offer, eh? One time around not enough for you, is it? Perhaps I should have taken you again rather than your friend, eh? Probably would have been more pleasurable, with the dearth of delights your friend had to offer me." He scowled over his shoulder at Mayet, who was just emerging from the back room, pulling up her dress and scowling back on hearing the insult. "She's even scrawnier than you are, Moru. Your men should learn to feed you properly."

"We have no men of our own," Renet cooed, stroking his arm, then pressing her body against him, as he'd noticed her friend cowering by the table, a lascivious gleam entering his eye. "Though we could manage to keep ourselves fed well enough, with the right pay..."

The Kana snorted and flapped his wings; Renet braced herself, in case he should lose his temper. Instead he bared his teeth in threat but reached for his belt. "It always comes down to that, then, does it? Fine. I can tell you desire to receive more of what I can give you, but you'll have to wait on that. It's about time I got back to the palace and spent less time with dirty Moru like you."

Renet noticed her friend whimper and try to crawl away, apparently thinking he was going to remove his belt. She made a face at her to stop. Kusef brought his hand back, holding several silver rings; he tossed a few to Mayet, and handed the rest to Renet. "There, Moru. That payment enough? I wouldn't want either of you starving on my behalf. Though gods can see you've already got a good enough start without my help."

"This is more than enough," Renet purred, stroking his chest. "We'll do our best to keep ourselves fed and ready for you. I can't bear to await our next visit from the mighty Kana Lord Kusef."

Mayet almost gagged, the flattery was so blatant. Several of the humans snickered. Kusef, however, puffed up on hearing her speak, and she could tell she'd put him in a good mood for the rest of the day. She could sense her friend's relief on not having to deal with him. Or was it just her own relief over the same matter?

"Well, then," the Kana said, nostrils flaring. "It appears I've won myself some followers here. I'm afraid you have no other choice but to wait, for now. A Kana has many responsibilities besides keeping the Moru satisfied. Though if you truly did enjoy my company so, I'll be certain to return when my duties don't press upon me so heavily."

"Of course, of course," Renet said soothingly. "This unworthy Moru won't delay you any longer. I only pray you perform your other duties as well as you performed tonight, Lord." And she pulled herself up on his arm again, pecked him on the side of his muzzle, and let herself down before he could decide her flattery wasn't as sincere as he'd thought. He snorted again, blustery, and flapped his wings, evidently at a loss for words; signaling his men, he turned from her and exited the tavern, the two Apsiu following, baring their teeth at the onlooking humans as they went.

As soon as the three were out of sight Renet let out her breath, not even realizing until then just how long she'd been holding it. Thank the gods that was over.
