The third chapter of Silo's changing to a vamp |
Chapter Three Where am I? What is this place? Why is it so dark and where's all that red liquid coming from? She thought frantically as she gazed around the dark area, finding herself chained to a wall, thousands of dead bodies lying around her with an awful smell of rotting flesh. Death seemed to float around her, or so she felt and thought so, glancing at her arms that were covered in blood as she wore some old gown she never even dreamed of wearing. Tugging at the chains slightly in a daze she gazed around, taking in the sight with a slightly growing panic. She eyed body after body, noticing the same two marks on their necks, wondering, confused at what could've done something like that, and noting that most of the marks were in the same location of the neck. A creak came from across the room, a faint light coming in and slowly poured in, giving the room a dim brightness, making it a bit easier for vision. A tall figure stood in the doorway, blocking some of the light. Narrowing her eyes for better vision, she tried to make out the identity but to no avail. Slightly smirking, the male form moved forward, features slowly coming visible. Silo gasped as the creamy pale skin showed, green eyes seeming filled with life but no soul, making the familiar person all the more intimidating, long blonde golden hair pulled back as always. For a moment, hope lifted as he came to her and knelt in front of her, setting a hand on her cheek and let it slide down to her chin, lifting it as he always had. She smiled, as he reached behind her and crushed the chains. With a shocked look, she twitched slightly, smile fading even though he helped her up, acting his same sweet self. She stepped back, uncertain now as he kept a firm grip on her and pulled her close, kissing her neck. With a sigh, she tilted her head to the side, feeling a slight prick. Thinking nothing of it, she left her head tilted to the side. Slowly she felt her strength leave and a rise in panic; her eyes flashing open, gazing up at Reiko who's eyes seemed to hold the only sign of life, the rest of him looking dead and pale. She finally fought against him, trying to tear away from him in a panic. Eventually, he released her and she fell to the ground as she tried to step away, less strength then she thought she had. Meekly, she crawled away, vision blurred, room spinning, turning this way and that, yet she never let her eyes fall from the man whom she once trusted. With a sneer, he stepped forward, grasping her around the throat, "Do not fear me, Silo. I am your maker. Without me, you die..." She narrowed her eyes at him, struggling to free herself from his grasp, letting out a weak scream as he lowered, closing his mouth around her wounded neck... With a scream in panic, her eyes shot open and she bolted up into a sitting position, covered in a cold sweat. Hearing a second scream, she stumbled out of bed, grabbing her bathrobe as she hurried out of her room. Quickly she made her way down the halls and stairs to the floor below, making her way through a large group that had gathered in front of a maid's room. Cernd glanced down at her as she stopped beside him, sighing quietly. Silo looked up at him questioningly, "What happened? What's wrong?" He shook his head quietly, "Dead. She died. Perhaps old age, not sure." Her eyes widened as the words sunk in and she turned to break away from the group, finding herself caught in Reiko's arms. With a slight gasp, she looked up at him, startled, the dream suddenly flashing through her mind, yet she saw nothing deadly about him. He raised a brow at her calmly, "Something wrong, madam?" Silo gazed at him for a moment longer before shaking her head, "Not at all. Why should there be something wrong?" She continued to gaze at him, daring him to say that there was something wrong. But Reiko merely smiled, brushing a few strands of her black hair away from her eyes with a nod, "No reason. Nothing is wrong." He led her through the crowd before releasing her, walking away to return to his chambers. Silently, she watched him for a moment as he returned to his room before sighing, returning to her own to change. |
