Love is a myth, borrowed not owned.
Love is a myth
An urban legend
An elusive enigma
Borrowed not owned
Cold hearts are warmed
But still frozen inside
Happiness is
But one brief moment in time
We leave our hearts open
To be bruised and torn
Our minds become tainted
By meaningless words
Words are just letters
Mere symbols on a page
Love in all its glory
Is only a state of mind
An alternative reality
A trick of the heart
