little woofers, where are you? are you dancing with the mop strands or in the mop bucket filling it with your wiggles? are you between the cat parentheses on the couch or under the couch playing dodgeball with the dustballs? little zig-zag-ripper, where are you? are you speed reading under the newspapers by the dining room table crinkle, crunch, you're done? Are you hiding under the hutch? little giggle-snort, where are you? are you under the rosed hued cover of the bed part of a fling of sunrise? are you snuffling along the garden on the bedroom carpet? little exclamation point, where are you? are you playing catch me from beneath the microwave cart? are playing chase with the crumbs under the kitchen table? little puff, huff, where are you? are you hiding behind the washing machine trying to dig new holes on the linoleum, scritch, scratch, whee? little ferret, Bradley, where are you? oh, there you are galumping, thumping, across the kitchen floor attacking my shoe laces chuckle, chuckle, chuckle, both you and me, except my laughter is louder, and yours is the soft laugh of a baby critter. hey, I don't need my fingers bit! giggle, wiggle, chuckle I love you. |
