It feels like a horror movie but at the end you know it’s not.

It feels like a Horror movie where you know what will happen during the next minutes, only that this one is real and you plead to hear the director shouting ‘cut’ for this all to end, but you know you’ll never hear it and your heart beats faster. You thought there was nothing wrong going up the hill in that foggy early night, you had your friend at your side after all and two people wouldn’t be hurt or attacked together, one could always call for help. After all, you had already gone that way several times that day during the light, there had never been anything wrong before so why should there be now. You and your friend were talking happily as you walked up the road, occasionally looking over to the Atlantic Ocean, finding the view just wonderful and somehow mystical due to all the fog that is around. Continuing your way you look down to the ground for a moment, but say nothing as you see another shadow then your own and your friend’s. You stay calm and you both continue your way along the empty houses, that only the guests sometimes in the summer use. You turn around a corner and look back, you see a boy about your age, maybe two years older walking behind you and just as you look at him, he sees that your watching and quickly pretends that he’s tying up his shoe. You look forward again and at your friend, your pace quickens and you look over and over again on the ground seeing the dark shadow coming closer and closer. Your friend asks of what is wrong but you just say that they should go faster and she complies without even knowing why. The boy comes closer and you practically feel that he’s behind you now and your friend does to. You both stop and look around, the boy once more pretending he’s tying his shoe. You both don’t get it and ask him what’s he wants, no answer and your friend tells him to bugger off and you two walk away again. Your pace is fast and nervous. Finally you reach your destination but before you can knock on the door, you feel arms around your back that lift you up. You kick and hit the boy ignoring where he would get it. All your friend can do is watch and suddenly he lets go of you and he’s trying the same with your friend. You want to scream, but you feel to shocked to be able too and before you see it coming the boy comes one more time towards you and you hit him over the head with your bag. He gives up on you and returns his attention back to your friend. She tells you to get help and you act quicker then you would have imagined, you knock and whisper for help your voice not being able to get any louder. Help comes and the boy disappears. Feeling finally relieved but still shaken you sit down telling the kinder, nicer boy, your saviour about everything that just happened. Your saviour listens for over an hour and you all go inside for another hour or two. As it is time to leave your still tense and your friend seems so too, but she doesn’t let it show so the two of you head home through a more clear way, and you wonder where the director is, telling you that the scene is done. |
