Being true to yourself, to who you were
You loved me unabashed
Openly and shamelessly
No games would be played with me
Not by you
You who I thought would reign forever
I was caught up
A girl taken with something so pure
So real
A reality within a fantasy
Or is it a fantasy within a reality?
I was convinced into believing it was a fairytale
Something that I wanted it to be
Could never be
It's how I was bred
To be naïve in your way of life
Could I have hurt you any worse?
I killed a spirit I never thought could be broken
I thought of what we had and it pained me to think it over
To think of it now as an ending
But that went unsaid
Unspoken
