At twilight as the day says its adieu
With onset dark, that eerie brooding hue
When myths and fables seem so real and true
And trolls and demons much greater power accrue.
When children hush with fear at ghostly tale
Embellished on with talk of storm and gale
To scare young hearts these tellings never fail
While darkness dons its all protective vail.
Nocturnal beasts from secret lairs appear
They see through dark like men through light, so clear
They skulk then dart in frantic panting fear
In night's great shroud, that's natures black veneer.
But romance blossoms in this lack of light
As lovers shield their passions far from sight
Their senses soar in zealous lusted flight
In that mystic part of day that's labeled night.
