a poem about hurt and denying it
Finally the truth

She feels so lonely
She fells so afraid
She has no where to turn
She has no where to lay

Lay down her heavy burdens
To heal a broken heart
To restore her inner soul
To have a new part

A new part in her play
The play of her life
The play is called hurt
Hurt not once but twice

She is rolling in an ocean
A rolling ocean of black
Dark and gloomy but she can't turn back
Turn back from the pain the hurt she was put through

She tries to smile if off
When people are around
But everyone knows inside she is breaking down
Her eyes are glazed over with anger for everyone to see

But still she tries to act happy to mislead
Mislead her family and her friends

No one knows why show won't get over him
He isn't worth her time e
She needs someone better
Not that jerk on her mind

She can't hide it much longer
No longer will she smile
But she will start to show her broken and hurt filled frown

Why am I am saying she
She isn’t her name
I guess I should stop lying to myself
And admit I'm the one to blame

It is no hidden message
No the message is very clear
I'm the one who got hurt
Can't you see my tears?

I guess that was my way of denying it
All that hatred I felt
By saying she Instead of I
But I can't keep lying to myself

I'm coming up to the plate
No more denying the truth
It was you who hurt me
You yes I'm talking about you

I just wanted to let you know
How I felt deep inside
The time has come to get over you
And spread my wings and fly to another place

Another place indeed
Where love is eternal
And I won't have to bleed
