Breaking

As I’m sitting here thinking
Not knowing what to feel
I’m sitting here wondering
And wishing this wasn’t real

I don’t know what happened
Or why it’s happening to me
But I keep asking myself
Who? Who is this girl I see?

This girl I used to know
On the inside and out
I knew all her stories
What she was all about

But now as I realize
Just how different she is
From the girl I used to know
Before her heart joined with his

I don’t think she can see
What he’s doing to her
Blocking out our memories
Making her past a blur

Many times I’ve wished
For him not to be there
So I’d have my friend back
I just wish she still cared

As I’m sitting here shaking
From the tears that I’ve cried
My heart is still breaking
Knowing our friendship has died
