If Ever There Was

We come into this world completely alone,
Spend the next nine months in the womb we know as home!

Our mothers experiences we will share,
Until the day comes when we have to leave there!

We enter this world so grand and vast,
Then look back at how quickly it passed!

There comes a time when we search for a mate,
The longing for love simply can't wait!

He meets a woman and they are in love,
Years pass by thought to be sent from above!

Our hearts take over and our minds shut down,
Suddenly the love is no longer to be found!

Our hearts feel only the pain and the sorrow,
For a very long time we dread tomorrow!

Then one day quite by chance,
Our lives are changed by a miraculous glance!

She walks towards me and I toward her,
Hearts pounding and racing emotions did stir!

After a while they realized it was love,
The relationship rides on the wings of a dove!
