Lead Astray Though an Ashtray

A company made powerfully rich by innocent death,
Endangering and addicting America with smoke-filled breath,
Poisons, toxins and drugs are the best sellers they will surely attest,
The importunacy of gambling customers’ lives insignificantly assessed,

I feel betrayed by retailers of Big Corporate USA,
Persuading the trusting public to pay for their lungs to decay,
But they're not scared to put the Surgeon General’s Warning on display,
They have already ensnared you, making you unconcerned with lives taken away,

Tricking us with flawless models, concealed propaganda, advertisement of lies,
We are so easily dependant we are not capable of opening our eyes,
The truth is out but protected by our own weaknesses; a true disguise,
It is ridiculous that we don’t lessen deaths by insisting it be criminalized,

If only we could stop their secretiveness in aid and prevail their pre-eminence,
If we stand together they cannot compensate us to be silent and hush our defense,
Individual unique souls that have been stolen from us can’t be paid off at any expense,
This ugly comfort outrages me; lives are priceless; I thought that was common-sense,

I SCREAM: Resist, Oppose, Refrain, Reject,
Withstand their vile temptation and their aim to infect,
I only ask you to acknowledge; to inspect……
And remember the lives that we can’t resurrect.
