Outside watching the beautiful sunset, I sit with my son Eric. In my arms he lays and making funny noises that make me smile and cry like if I were at the circus watching the clowns perform their acts. Only two years old, he looks beautiful and elegant what an amazing creation God has created. I taste the air that wisps by as its aroma melts in my mouth like hot fresh kettle corn popcorn. What a beautiful day this has turned out to be to spend time with my son and enjoy what Mother Nature has made. I listen to what is around me nothing but silence surrounds me like the news of a major and dramatic death that happened in the news. I press my fingers upon my son’s face, so soft and delicate his skin feels like the coca butter lotion all over my skin. As a couple hours pass by I sing my son a lullaby and feed him a bottle. I sit and watch him suck ever ounce of formula out of the bottle like it’s his last meal. After feeding him I change his clothes, burp him, and wipe his face clean all of the mess that was on his face. I began to rock him again and sing him another lullaby and watch his eyes ease slowly and softly to sleep like the feelings of receiving a deep tissue body massage. What a day today was, as I pick up my son and put him in the car seat and secure him his car seat. I put him in the car in the back seat and buckle him in. Unaware if he can hear me I give him a kiss goodnight and tell him I love him. I get in the drivers seat, start the ignition, turn on my headlights and drive off.
