My first crack at Poetry, let me know what you think.
Looking down this lonely road
That now I call my home
Who am I, what am I
Muffled sounds I hear
Strange to my ear
This place so dark, wet and warm
I float in graceful peace.

Silence now surrounds me and I feel the need to sleep.

What is this...this pressure? This squeezing pain? It's all around me, crushing me
The pressure is unbearable, the pain extreme.

Do I see a light? It is light! In the distance, faint and out of focus
What can it be! A monster, some evil to end me before I even know me.
The pressure the pain, the light coming closer now, no thats wrong, I am being pushed toward the light.

This distorted light hurts my eyes
I put my hands up for protection
I touch a barrier
Will this barrier crush me?
The sounds are back now, closer; I can almost make out the words
Water rushing pass, making my entry into this tunnel easy.

OH, the pain, being squeezed, I cannot breath, I am being torn apart.

Free! At last, at least I think........it's cold here, so bright, light is all around, my eyes cannot focus
Something hits me, what is that sound? Oh, it's me! Screaming, for what I have no clue
Despite my screaming, I can hear laughter.

Wrapped up snug and warm
This place I lay soft
A tender crooning voice I hear
I wish I could focus, I love this voice reaching my ears
So soothing.
My eyes can see a little now, Oh; the eyes are so kind, the skin so soft.

Utter tenderness, she welcomes me to the world, I don't understand her words, but with tone of voice and expressions of the eyes they tell me of kindness and love
I am your Mother, little one.

I see a long road, outside what I now call home, waiting for me.

I smile and turn to sleep.
