The moon fell and the stars wept,
The sun gasps with every breath,
And here I am, presumed dead,
Suffering a broken heart and wounds to my head.
I taste the poison on my lips.
It seems that fails to make a difference.
The earth is spinning; traps me in,
With people drowning in their deadly sins.
And then I cry; my guilty heart;
I realize my tears of grief must part.
I cup my hands and hold it all,
Fearful of what will happen when it falls.
And, once again, the world's on track,
Far from any chasms black.
