They had a precious life But they are much too young. Let us remember Kenny As we gather here to say, We come all dressed in mourning, For this soldier died today. A soldier faces enemies Each offers up his life. He bravely marches off to war To alleviate the strife. Far from home he sets them free While holding the terrorists at bay We now are honoring Kenny, For this soldier died today. He was an ordinary man With extraordinary ken* Who saw an honest fight He sought to face and win Let us remember Kenny As we gather here to pray Lord, accept our humble servant, For this soldier died today. Our hearts are filled with loving praise As Kenny Melton ends his days. We've lost a true American. His earthly days are done. We will not let his memory fade We thank him for the price he paid. A price we do not have to pay, Because this soldier died today. Rest In Peace, Kenny Melton. 1974-2004 *mental perception |
