If I could . . .

If I could be a kid again,
would I approach life in the
same way as before?

Would I stop and restrain myself,
knowing that I would end up with
a broken ankle or a broken heart?

Or would I let myself go -
be free to make mistakes,
be free to be a child.

Not worrying about tomorrow,
but living for today.
Living in the moment,
living life as it should be.

Yes, I would make those mistakes again.
Scabs heal and scars are reminders
of times that made me who I am today.
