RAINFOREST SYMPHONY

If you think that the jungle is

hushed....

quiet....

silent....

Then creep into the rainforest with me.



You should hear such a lack of silence

growls....

screeches....

songs....

All the sounds of the creatures that call this home.


If the rainforest by some chance became

destroyed....

leveled.....

gone....

Then the enchanting symphony will be but a
memory.

PELICAN BILLS

Five little pelicans
With fishes in their bills.

The first one said,
"Mine just won't be still."

The second one said,
"Mine are wiggling too."

The third one said,
"What are we to do ?"

The fourth one said,
"I could eat'm by the ton."

The fifth one said,
"Gulp! Ummm mine are done."

Five little pelicans
without fishes in their bills.

Flying out to sea
To look for other meals.

When Dinosaurs would rip and roar

When dinosaurs would
Rip and roar
Bang their tails on
The forest floor.

Little creatures you
Would see
Climbing high in
The wide oak tree.

Oh I'm glad I did
Not live before
When Dinosaurs would
Rip and roar.

Manatee

Swimming gracefully beneath the sea
with swooping majesty plays
the arching gary Manatee.

In times gone by the sailors would tell
of merfolk swiftly gliding
on top of shining blue swells.

Sailors were amazed to see merfolks there
bobbing in the sea watching
them, the grinning voyageurs,

Though the oceans have been searched the
only spirit that can be found
is the gliding manatee.
