Hanging out in an old graveyard one day...
Living in a Graveyard

Something here makes me want to sleep forever
Crawl inside a box and snuggle
I don't know where to put my feet
I don't want to startle those who sleep

Initials on a stone read M.E.E.
Just three letters
Death simplified
Another pair side by side
"Mother" and "Father"
Poor child

I sit upon a mound
I cannot feel the earth
Does it feel me?
Is it disturbed?
This hill is in memory
Of those who fought and lost
Capped with two cannons juxtaposed
Last used in the Civil War
But I still duck
As I pass in front of them

It smells like nothing

The snapping flag and crickets
Are all I hear
While all of the souls are having a party
I'm not going to die
If I'm not invited

The wind just hit me
It is time to go
Walking down the only road
I turn my head to say good-bye
All I see is a yellow sign
"Dead End"
Is that really necessary?
