Cooper-Giles is a lifelong political, religious, and social activist. He has three undergraduate college degrees: a BA in Black Studies and English, a BA in Journalism, and a BFA in Painting and Drawing from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He grew-up in a small town in Ohio and New York City because his parents had divorced when he was five-years old: his mother who'd remarried remained in Ohio and his father, who'd also remarried lived in NYC.
