Grant de Graf was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1960. He spent his impressionable years in Durban, where he matriculated from the Durban High School. He has a business degree from the University of Cape Town with majors in accounting and economics. He has traveled extensively, and was actively involved in politics in South Africa that saw the demise of apartheid. He currently writes for a number of journals and tabloids, and has a strong interest in history and wildlife. De Graf's recent novel, Cavalier's Call is expected to receive wide acclaim from peer reviews.
