Though retired from teaching writing for monetary gain in the classroom, I find the "writing psyche" has never, and probably will never retire. I am constantly writing stories about people, whether I see them in the grocery, the coffee shop or on the street. Most of these stories never see paper, but occasionally they do. I also find myself reading and editing other people's work and getting as much pleasure from that as given life to my own creations. I used to think of teaching and writing as occupations, but after many, many years, I think I AM a teacher and I AM a writer.
