Gil Saenz was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He recently retired from the government where he was employed as a Computer Specialist. He received his B.A. with an English Literature major from Wayne State University in June, 1968. He has completed six collections of poems which have all been published since 1984, his most recent being, SPACES IN BETWEEN, published in January, 2003. He belongs to the Downriver Poets and Playwrights Group in Wyandotte, Michigan.
