I've always considered myself a writer, on some level. It wasn't until college, however, that I realized the importance of writing as a personal release and as a way to reflect on my childhood and adolescence. My current and continuing education is in the the genre of creative nonfiction, though I'm beginning to dabble in fiction as well.
