I am a 50 something aspiring author. I'm about halfway through my first draft that has taken me several years. I work at a job that I like well enough that pays far to little. It pays the bills, most of the time. I've always heard that everyone has at least one book in them, and that's what I hope for in my case. My fondest wish is that I finish my book, have it snapped up by an agent, then a publisher and have them throw endless amounts of money at me, then have it made into a movie. Hey, I can dream can't I? I know the reality will be nothing like that. I suppose in the mean time I just need to buckle down and finish my first draft.
