Prior to beginning my rural Family Practice at the age of 45, I was a teacher and Registered Nurse. Although the road was long my family stuck by me for years to make my dream come true of becoming a doctor. Since I began in 1995 my medical practice has also taken many twists and turns. I now have a clinic that was built by husband and it sits in our home yard. I am the doctor, nurse, receptionist, in short the office, sort of a modern day Dr. Quinn. I have written two books: The 3 N's: Nobody from Nowhere going No Place; The Fork Lift: Is Your Weight Killing You which has a companion Portion Plate. I also do Motivational Speaking.
