Lauri Brett's New York career began with an MFA in sculpture that eventually landed her international creative design work in the fashion industry. After later studying fiction in the Master's Program at City College, she completed her first novel, a romantic thriller set in her East Chinatown neighborhood. She is the author of several investigative articles published at both the local and the national level, and the recipient of fiction residencies at both Yaddo and Edward F. Albee work centers. Her current novel is a woman's mystery set in the 'new' Las Vegas. She is a member of Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, and CTRWA.
