My name is Charles. I began writing at 13 out of boredom. I was a fat kid and humor became my only way of defending myself. I wrote frantically every night and won 2 short story contests in 1981 and 1982. I wrote all during college, then life and career took over and I quit writing. A chance encounter with an ad in the local paper about a writng class at my local community college inspired me and I enrolled. I have been writing ever since.
