Summary of this Book...
Mary Gilmour believes she has anger issues. That or she's got the worst home in all of London. Her husband's a slob, her children drive her nuts (as much as she loves them), she can't seem to get a break at work, and her best friend seems to be the most perfect woman in the world! Sick of having to deal with her husband's absent-mindedness and inability to assist as much with the house chores and babysitting (though he is a great father all things considered), Mary decides to churn out THE LIST. It will be a way to keep tabs of all Joel's faults (or few good points) which could eventually lead to a decision that could change the rest of their lives...
This type of Book is good for...
Readers who enjoy slices of life stories, comedy, family-oriented fiction, and romance.
I especially liked... | ||
The dry and sometimes outright humor through Mary's 'voice'. Her dry wit and situation she finds herself in makes for a hilarious read. It's not all fun and games though, as there are moments when you actually feel her frustration, pain, and indecisiveness.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read it all over again. The characters were real and by the last page, you get the sense you've lived with these people your whole life.

I recommend this Book because...
It is a wonderful read, full of unexpected twists and turns and a reminder that despite one's hardships, you really end up realizing you are far better off than others. It is an eye-opener and a breath of fresh air. Women are not always 'super/wonder women', and we need every little bit of help especially from the ones we love.
