Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is a story of an Irish orphan named Tomas, who is adopted by a lovely spirited woman named Maire. Her husband (played by Aidan Quinn) is not open to the boy, but Maire is and gives him confidence and love. He flourishes in his new home and gains the confidence to sometimes overcome his stammer.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone who wants to watch an inspiring story.
I especially liked... | ||
the boy who plays Tomas. He broke my heart. I also LOVED Smudgie, the baby seal that Tomas takes care of. He is Tomas's orphan to care for.
I didn't like... | ||
Spoiler alert. This was way too sad for me. I won't say specifically what transpires, but it had an event about 3/4 of the way through that was too hard for me to watch. I kept watching anyway.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
review it! | ||
This DVD made me feel...
really sad for Tomas's lot in life until he was chosen by Maire. She, too, was an orphan.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is wonderful. I did not like Aidan Quinn's character of Himself, but I do not think I was supposed to like him. What a selfish lout!
I recommend this DVD because...
it is heartwarming and the scenery is all Ireland off the west coast. Lovely!
Further Comments... | ||
I don't recommend it if you have had a recent tragedy or sadness in your life.
