This current novel borrows all of Jane Austen's characters from Pride and Prejudice, joining them six years later as a ball is to take place at Pemberley. A murder transpires that involves that infamous devil, Wickham and everyone is pulled into the mix.

the twists and turns at the end. I will not give them away.

the fact that the book moved a little slowly at first. I was disappointed that the victim wasn't who I thought it was from reading the dust jacket. I actually think if the victim was who I originally thought it was, the book would have been even better.

read another mystery set in modern times.

like I was back with Jane Austen's characters. I could picture them all as they were in the BBC telecast of 1995.

is true to the Jane Austen style and she does a great job with the characters.

it started out kind of slow, but at the end was a real page turner. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys Elizabeth Bennett and the characters in Pride and Prejudice. I enjoyed that Colonel Fitzwilliam is more fleshed out in this. I always liked him a lot.
