Summary of this Book...
This is the story of Tiger Woods from 2004 until 2010 told by his swing coach, Hank Haney, who worked closely with him and even lived with him off and on. I was curious because I have never been a fan of Tiger Woods as a person. He is much weirder than I thought. I almost, almost felt sorry for him after reading this.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who wants to read about someone who is not what their image portrays them to be.
I especially liked...
the stuff about his caddie, Stevie Williams because it is a theme in how he treats people who are loyal and good to him. He walks all over them until they can't tolerate it anymore.
I didn't like...
the fact that this Hank Haney guy was trusted by Tiger and then writes a book with all his faults. I was curious, but it sort of made me feel sick.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
watch the Masters and root for anyone but Tiger. It was a good time to read this book.
This Book made me feel...
like I was reading about a "Geek Tragedy". In college one of his friends teased Tiger by calling him, Ercole.
The author of this Book...
was a trusted member of the inner circle of Tiger Woods and is now cashing in. I believe the stuff he wrote, but it made me think he is kind if icky too.
I recommend this Book because...
it explains a lot about how Tiger sees everybody else as less than he is. There is no one in Tiger's world that is anywhere near as important or significant as Tiger. That is pretty sad for his children.
Further Comments...
I read this book in one day. It has golf stuff that is technical but I sort of skimmed over that. It answered a lot of questions in my mind about Tiger Woods.
