Summary of this Book...
One more Winter is a skillfully crafted story about the wife of an MIA in Vietnam who has difficulty to accept that her husband is dead and life should go on.

I especially liked Mary's voice, the protagonist, which is sad but changes to a more hopeful one, as she begins to accept her lack of facing the truth.

The plot lines--Mary's,her daughter's, and the dead dog's owner Rebecca's stories--are braided together with mastery.

The story starts very slow, but the pace picks up as the story progresses. This could be a tool the author used to show the change in Mary.

The flow of the language is smooth and pleasant, and I enjoyed the story very much.

I especially liked...
the ease and the flow of language
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
read other stories by this author
The n/a of this Book...
The author is Rebecca K O'Connor.
Other works: Rise; Tiger, Tiger; Lift; Lories and Lorikeets, Care and Keeping of Finches, A Parrot for Life
I recommend this Book because...
It is short, and despite its few pages, a lot of emotion is in it, said, unsaid, or hinted at.
